SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 1. Query with a letter describing your project.  Next, IF REQUESTED... 2. Submit a four page synopsis, the first chapter (synopsis and chapter must be typed and double-spaced) and a marketing plan. (Don't double space marketing plans!)  Next, IF REQUESTED... 3. Submit manuscript. Typed. Double-spaced. Include a cover page with contact information, title, and word count. Manuscripts not selected will be shredded unless SASE is enclosed.  DO NOT SEND YOUR ONLY COPY OF YOUR MANUSCRIPT. Be sure your manuscript has been edited.  IF ACCEPTED... 4. You will be offered a contract, largely because we probably won't be able to seal our deal with a handshake. Now Send your book on a CD in Word.  While your book is being formatted, edited, designed and layed out, please... 5. Gather "blurbs" for your book cover and... 6. Round up reviews. 7. Work with the cover designer. 8. Take an active role in this production or don't sign on. 9. Upon publication, you will need to purchase (per contract) a mutually agreed upon number of copies of your book for your personal sales. NO ONE CAN SELL YOUR BOOK AS WELL AS YOU. Contact Here	WHAT DO WE DO FOR YOU? 1. Your book will be issued an ISBN. 2. Your book will be issued a LCCN. 3. Your book will be listed in Bowker's Books in Print, Ingram's Sales Catalogue, and other catalogues as appropriate. 4. Your book will be printed digitally. 5. Your book will be available through Ingram, the world's largest book distributor, hence it will also be available at amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, online book sellers and in the United Kingdom,  etc. etc. etc. 6. You may work with the cover designer, but the final decision on the cover will be the publisher's. 7. Currently we are not paying advances. Please bear with us. 8. Because we do not pay advances at this time, we are generous with our royalties. We pay 20% royalty on net retail and net wholesale. 9. You will be able to purchase your books at a 50% discount until we have recouped our publishing expenses, then at 55% discount + shipping. 10. You are expected to buy a mutually agreed upon number of  copies of your book for your personal sales efforts. No predetermined number. Each author will vary. 11. Your book will be displayed and offered for sale at all events where MMA has a booth. MMA endeavors to attend one to two  events per month. Because of the high cost of many of the venues we are now doing and the travel expenses involved, royalties based on sales at these events is at a reduced rate.  Promotional materials generated for your book will not be charged to you or deducted from royalties.
